High availability
Artesia DAM is built for the most critical needs and can be configured to meet even "five nine" requirements. Although availability is dependent on many factors, from hardware systems to software and networks, some of the factors that Artesia DAM supports include:
- Redundancy
-
Each component of Artesia DAM is deployable in a multiple redundancy configuration, from the web-based presentation layer to the Java business services to the database and storage systems. At any point in time, the impact of a hardware or software failure can be minimized so as to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Fault tolerance
-
Should an Artesia business service component fail, the application server is able to isolate the failure and ensure uninterrupted service for users. If an entire hardware node fails, the industry proven Java Application clustering will ensure that service is gracefully continued while your team resolves the hardware failure.
- Load balancing
-
Load balancing the system activity helps ensure that all available system capacity is used. Even if a failure reduces capacity below the desired levels, Artesia DAM is able to continue operating and handling all user requests. Load balancing is accomplished through the Java Application cluster as well as front-end web traffic load balancers.
- Disaster Recovery
-
In the worst case scenario, when an entire data center becomes unavailable, the Artesia DAM application can be quickly returned to service in a recovery location. Leveraging advanced storage replication services, along with full database replication, a full copy of your entire production system can be maintained in an off-site location for business resumption requirements.
